The Junkers Ju-88 was a German tactical dive-bomber and torpedo-bomber. Used in World War II, this bomber did not have a dive-bomber or torpedo-bomber look. Sure, it had a machine gun poking out of the back (unlike the Saab B 17A!). In fact it had a ventral gondola on the chin, with two more machine guns! And, what I was saying about the looks was that it had two engines! Unlike a SBD Dauntless, with one medium horsepower engine, this thing had two high horsepower, high performance engines. flying up to 317mph, this plane looks a lot like a light or medium bomber, with the ventral gondola, and twin engines. Another name for this beast would be the Schnellbomber, or fast-bomber in German. With 15000 made, the Germans had so many that a the end of the war it doubled as a flying bomb AKA the Mistel Bomber! Converted into a massive warhead, or big bomb, it was flown and dropped by a Messerschmitt Bf109. All it looked like was a Bf109 attached to a Ju-88 that had no cockpit, and it looked like it had a fat needle poking out of the face (I will I include a photo of this flying bomb). Like always at the end, I will include the demensions. This thing had a wingspan of 59ft, and a length of 51ft. So there you go. The not-a-pile-of-junk Junkers Ju-88.
