B29 Superfortress

One of the most advanced bomber of WWII, the very large B29 Superfortress was the bomber that dropped the atomic bombs at the end of the Second World War. One of the Strategic Bombing Command, or SAC’s first bombers, the Superfortress had four 2,200hp Wright R-3,350-23 18-cylinder two-row radial engines, its maximum speed was 365mph. On august sixth, 1945, Enola gay dropped the first bomb. Code named “Little Boy”, Hiroshima exploded in seconds. The next bomb, nicknamed “Fatman”, devoured Nagasaki with an enormous mushroom cloud. The bombs were dropped, and Japan surrendered. And that’s the end of WWII. Before its retirement, the B29 served as a tanker, weather reconnaissance aircraft, and more. So, dimensions.
